BALLET EXAM REHEARSAL SCHEDULE 2008

Extra Rehearsal for the exams will start this weekend, Sunday 3rd. It’s crucial that all students attend the 4 rehearsals. The schedule is as follows;

Grade 2 @ 9.00 to 10 am

Grade 3 @ 10.00  to 11am

Grade 4 @ 11.00 am until 12.00 pm

Grade 5 @ 12.30 am to 1.30 pm set one, 1.30 for set two until 2.30pm.

Grade 6 @ 2.30 pm (one and a half hours)

Grade 7 @ 4.00pm until 5.30 pm (one and a half hours)

The grade 5’s will be as follows:  Sunday 3rd – Morgan L. Danielle and Jenna as group 1

                                                         Sunday 10th - Savannah, Zoe, Amelia and Victoria as group 1

                                                         Sunday 17th – Morgan, Laurel Lee, Anne and Emily as group 1

The group 2 each week will be all the rest of the grade 5 students who are not in group one for that week.

Sunday 24th I would like all the grade 5 students for the full 2 hour 12.30 to 2.30 pm.

Sunday 24th, parents may come to watch the classes, parents only! No siblings, Grandparents etc. You will be expected to sit very quietly, no conversation will be taking place between myself and the parents, it will be like a mock exam with the parents as silent observers. If you have any questions after observing the class, please address them to me in an email –julie@freeflightdance.com

All these rehearsals are dress rehearsals for the actual exam so I expect the same standard for the rehearsals as for the exams! ie: hair in a bun with an invisible hairnet, no bangs, no little fuzzies (use lots of gel and hairspray), clean leotard and tights (pref new tights) with a spare pair of tights in their bag just in case. Grades 1 to 5 must have their navy tank style leotard on, with the matching waist elastic (I would like them wearing this from now on), the character skirt pressed, clean and all ribbons firmly sewed (or fabric glued!) down. Black character shoes with pink (fleshy) elastics SEWN on, not tied!!! NO JEWELLERY, not even little earrings, and no tattoos (temp or otherwise) showing. No makeup. No underwear except bras, which MAY NOT show

Intermediate Foundation started their rehearsal last Saturday and I will run rehearsals for at least the next three Saturdays, 4.30 to 6 pm with the parents being allowed in on the rehearsal of Sat 16th. Any Inter. Found. students who have exams after Feb 22 are welcome to keep coming for extra practice with me each Sat until their exam.

The exams are Mon 25th and Tues 26th, but as yet I do not have the exact schedule, grades 2, 3 and 4 and the first two sets of grade 5 on the Monday,  with the rest of grade 5 (Morgan H, Laurel, Anne and Emily), 6 and 7 on Tuesday. The first exam will be at 9am each day. Another letter with full details will be posted on the website under “Exams” as soon as I have received the schedule from the RAD
