Sunday Jan 29th - Go With The Flow - please read your newsletter and make sure you are at the Genesis Theatre at noon for a full rehearsal, there will be a break at 2.15 to get make up etc done and have a snack, show starts 3 pm on the dot!

THE FLOW – SEPTEMBER 2011 NEWSLETTER

Congratulations to ALL of the Flow Company Dancers & Faculty for a FANTASTIC 2010-2011 season!

This coming year is going to be truly AMAZING! We are delighted to have accepted 10 new dancers to the Junior and Senior Flow Ballet Co. CONGRATULATIONS to all of you. Also promotions from Junior to Senior Flow Ballet & newly appointed Dance Captains for both. Well Done!

We are thrilled to have Kim Yoshihara, to support The Flow, as the “go to” Parent contact for wardrobe, back stage and many other tasks she has very kindly agreed to take on. You will see Kim in around the studio and at Flow functions coming soon. Her contact info will be published shortly. THANK YOU KIM.

We will all be working hard towards the Annual Flow Show. This year on January 29th @ The Genesis Theatre in Ladner. Please keep this date open. Let all of your Friends and Family know right now.

The society’s goals are to bring dance to the community while pursuing a commitment to excellence, creating an environment of semi-professional training and to afford opportunities for gifted dancers to take their training to the highest levels. We seek to inspire and enlighten children in the art of dance.

Here is a little of what is expected of The Flow Training Company, as follows:

ANNUAL FLOW SHOW & UPCOMING EVENTS

Your networking capabilities are extremely important and we would ask you to please use them for The Flow performance advertising.

In order for The Flow to succeed and continue to grow we are in need of support from Family and Friends of The Flow.

Please see the following volunteer positions we need filled in order to make everything come together.

Please note ALL STUDENTS – will be part of the post performance Tidy Up Team.

The Flow really need your response to fill the following positions, by Dec 9,2011, or sooner, please.

· Front of office supervision/cash/tickets, with the Genesis ticket office staff

· Foyer set up (décor) and maintenance.

· Post performance tidy up.

· 50/50 draw and other ideas

· Ushers/supporting the audience throughout the afternoon

· Ticket sales – all students will be presented, by the week of January 4th, with 10 tickets each to sell as soon as possible ($10 General Admission) More tickets available to students – please just ask!

· Poster/flyer community distribution – schools/business merchants in South Delta

We hope to keep an ongoing Volunteer Database for The Flow and call upon those who are available at our events. Suggestions and ideas are ALWAYS welcome!
