An exciting dance genre that has been around for decades, quickly becoming more
mainstream with much credit to "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE" !!!
We will be learning individual and partner work, with focus on Salsa, Cha Cha,
Jive & Tango to exciting upbeat modern music.
Salsa is one of the most popular dances at the moment. With roots in Cuba &
Puerto Rico it has a unique music style which makes you feel like you are on a
tropical beach somewhere!
Cha Cha is characterized by quick feet and sharp movements with a somewhat
cheeky feel.
Jive is the true American dance with many style variations out there. It is
generally a very quick dance with fast footwork and sharp turns.
Tango is a dramatic style which has a low center of gravity and stealthy catlike
movements across the floor.
